BandWith to Perform at Lollapalooza

BandWith in Partnership with Marillac St. Vincent to Play at Lollapalooza

Connecting Communities | August 2021

BandWith Chicago, in partnership with Marillac St. Vincent and Chicago West Community Music Center, have been preparing their young artists for the performance of their lifetimes. On Sunday, August 1, the Hope Junior drumline and Chicago West dancers will be the opening act on the Bud Light Seltzer Stage at Lollapalooza.

These talented young people are performing as part of Mayor Lightfoot and the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events “Year of Chicago Music.” The initiative is designed to highlight Chicago as one of the greatest world music capitals.

“These talented young performers are representing our city and we are honored and out of our minds to be part of that!”

Annie Palamino, President of BandWith

The youth have put in tremendous effort in preparation of the Lollapalooza Music Festival, rehearsing for three hours per day, five days a week. You can hear the sounds of these young artists ringing throughout the Foglia Center as they put their hearts into every rehearsal.

The performance is a 10-minute choreographed energetic musical showcase of percussionists and dancers at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 1st, on the Bud Light Seltzer stage.

BandWith and MSV have organized an after-show party at Reggies on the Beach (6259 S Lake Shore Dr, Chicago, IL 60649) at 2:00 p.m. The party will feature food, entertainment, cocktails, and a picnic on the beach. All are welcome.
