6 Things to Brighten Your Thanksgiving Holiday
MSV’s Holiday Favorites Playlist
Thanksgiving is here so it’s officially time to break out the Christmas music. If you’re looking for the perfect playlist, look no further. Our holiday experts at MSV made a playlist of Christmas classics, carols, and contemporary seasonal songs just for you.
Meditate on your blessings
Thanksgiving is best when you can pair a bit of gratitude with your pumpkin pie. Lean into those thankful feelings with some gratitude focused meditation. When you need a break from the holiday banter, this article does a great job of explaining how meditation can benefit your mental health and if you need more meditation in your life to get you through the holidays check out the Insight Timer App.
Phone calls and Zoom calls with loved ones
Tis the season to social distance, but that doesn’t mean you can’t stay connected. Pick up the phone (or log into Zoom) and remember to tell your loved ones how much they mean to you. Make your video chats extra fun with House Party, a free app that allows you to play a variety of games on your call.
Spread holiday cheer in your community
If you’re feeling generous and looking for a way to spread your holiday cheer, consider purchasing a gift for a child through MSV’s Christmas Store. Check out our Amazon Wishlist filled with toys, books, and gift ideas for the children we serve. You can even send the gifts directly to our centers to create a no hassle Christmas miracle for a local toddler, youth, or teen.

Make a pledge to support MSV this Giving Tuesday
Black Friday. Small Business Saturday. Cyber Monday. And Giving Tuesday. Wrap up your holiday shopping season with a gift for MSV! This year, we're focusing our goal on the needs of our school-age e-learners. MSV has opened our after school classrooms to operate full days, five days a week. Our classroom staff monitors are ensuring that students login to their school's e-learning portals and stay engaged all day, while MSV parents remain in their jobs throughout this time of crisis. Your support will help us cover operational costs of offering this service including meals for children, increased bandwidth in our buildings, and newly added support staff who are supporting this program shift.
