Nearly New is Newly Open!
Connecting Communities | August 2020
The Nearly New Thrift Shop at St. Vincent de Paul Center has opened its doors once again with all new merchandise and safety measures. The store, which sells new and gently used high-end fashions, homewares, jewelry, and kids' clothes, temporarily closed in March when Chicago shut down non-essential businesses as a result of coronavirus.
Since first opening in 1968, Nearly New has been an important source of funds at Marillac St. Vincent. Every donation to Nearly New and every purchase made in the store, goes directly back to the programs at MSV.
“We are so excited to welcome our community back into the shop.” said store Manager, Ariel Mejía. “Safety is our highest priority and we have taken every precaution possible to ensure our customers have a safe and enjoyable experience.”
Nearly New’s hours are Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Saturdays, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram at @nearlynewthrift to stay up-to-date!
Plan your next shopping trip or clear your closets by making a tax-deductible donation! Nearly New thrives on the commitment of volunteers and donors. If you are interested in volunteering or making an in-kind gift, visit our website or email email@example.com.
