Summer at MSV and #GivingTuesdayNow
Connecting Communities | May 2020
Summer at Marillac St. Vincent is always a time to look forward to. Our centers come alive in a flurry of activity as we take advantage of the warmer weather. This year things look different.
On Tuesday, May 5, Marillac St. Vincent will participate in #GivingTuesdayNow, a new global day of online giving and unity created in response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19. We are using this opportunity to focus on the needs of our children and seniors this summer.
After weeks of sheltering in place, our children will be anxious to get out and enjoy some fresh air and sunshine with their friends. They look forward to resuming our programs, though they come with new challenges as we continue our community’s efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
At a time when there’s much uncertainty in the world, we’re certain that we can continue to adapt to the changing needs of our community. Our classrooms, summer camp, and senior outreach programs may operate a little differently, however, one thing will remain the same – Marillac St. Vincent will continue to be a resource to those in need.
We’re able to make that kind of change through your support.
This #GivingTuesdayNow, we hope you’ll invest in the children, families, and seniors who spend their summers with Marillac St. Vincent. Funds raised as part of this campaign will support the purchase of additional classroom materials, sporting equipment, books and activities for our seniors, and other life enhancing materials to make this summer great.
Thanks to an anonymous donor, all gifts made will be matched, dollar for dollar, up to $10,000!
Don’t want to wait until May 5th to make a gift? You can make a contribution in support of our summer programming today!
