Angie earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and completed her MBA at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern, while working full time. She has also completed her certificate in Non-Profit Management from Kellogg as well as a 40-hour Project Management Professional (PMP) Boot Camp. She began her career as an Engineer in the automotive industry and completed a rotational program in sales, manufacturing, engineering and six-sigma quality. She transitioned into Management Consulting in the Operations Practice at ATKearney with a focus on deep analytics and process improvements. She was appointed to be Director of Operations at ACNielsen and managed a $20MM IT implementation. She made a transition into work that truly inspires her and spent 6 years supporting Education reform initiatives at Chicago Public Schools. She lead the new charter school recruitment and evaluation process, district wide projects for the Chief Education Officer, and oversaw the application for and monitoring of $70MM of School Improvement Grants for struggling high schools. She most recently served as the Vice President of Finance and Operations at Chicago Scholars with responsibility for Finance, IT, Data, Human Resources, Facilities, and General Operations.
