Hope Jr is a vibrant community for young people ages 5-18, offering a safe, nurturing space where they can explore, learn, and grow. Through our after-school and weekend programs, we provide academic support, creative arts, and life-enriching experiences that help youth develop confidence, critical thinking, and a strong sense of community.

Community Engagement and Service
At Hope Jr, youth are encouraged to connect with their community through meaningful service projects. By contributing their time and talents, participants build a sense of responsibility and experience the rewards of giving back.

Creative Arts and Self-Expression
Our arts program gives youth a chance to shine through music, drama, and visual arts. With activities like our annual musical, participants celebrate their creativity and learn to express themselves in powerful, new ways.

Academic Support and Mentorship
Dedicated tutors and mentors provide homework help, study skills, and life guidance. Through one-on-one and group support, youth build strong academic foundations and develop valuable skills that extend beyond the classroom.

Engaging Daily and Weekend Activities
Our programs cater to diverse interests and keep young minds active:

• Daily Activities: From sports and art projects to games and academic support, our after-school schedule is packed with opportunities to grow and have fun.
• Weekend Events: Saturdays come alive with basketball games, holiday celebrations, cultural activities, and special performances that make every weekend memorable.

Specialized Programs for Teens
In partnership with the City of Chicago’s After School Matters, Hope Jr offers paid summer job opportunities for teens focused on fine arts and leadership. Through hands-on experience in project management and teamwork, teens build skills that prepare them for future success.
