What is the Christmas Store?
The Marillac St. Vincent Christmas Store has been a holiday tradition for Chicago families in need for over 60 years. We have been able to make holiday wishes come true for thousands of children thanks to our friends' and neighbors' generosity who buy toys and those who volunteer.
Every year we offer parents, grandparents, and child guardians that we serve throughout the year the chance to sign up for the Christmas Store. In pas years, Registered families would get to "shop" for toys, stocking stuffers, books, games, clothes, and stuffed animals for each of their children have their gifts wrapped, and finally, leave with a full bag of food - enough to make a big meal on Christmas day, complete with a turkey! This year, families will receive the same gifts and food like past years, but instead, MSV is offering a contact-free drive-through service.
We invite you to get involved!
Start a toy drive in your church or office. Get a group of friends and family together to come volunteer. Or help us sort through and organize the thousands of toys donated to the Christmas store the week leading up to our distribution day. It's such a fun way to get into the holiday spirit!
