Blackhawks Visit St. Vincents
On Wednesday, March 27th, representatives from the Chicago Blackhawks, including current player Jimmy Hayes, and Congressman Mike Quigley, visited St. Vincent de Paul Center to teach children in the School Age Program to play floor hockey. As part of the StreetHawks program, the Blackhawks provide children ages 6-16 the opportunity to participate in sneaker hockey in a safe, supervised environment. In addition to the visit, the organization donated hockey equipment so the children can continue to practice their skills.
We are thankful to the National Hockey League, the Chicago Blackhawks, the Streethawks program, and Congressman Quigley for bringing this exciting opportunity to St. Vincent de Paul Center.
