Kevin McGhee is the Data Quality Analyst at Marillac St. Vincent Family Services.
Kevin McGhee grew up on the West Side of Chicago and always dreamed about giving back to his community. “I consider myself a servant. I help lead the charge and move the needle to address different types of social disparities,” he says.
Kevin’s work to address inequality started long before coming to MSV. He graduated Cum Laude from Champlain College with a BS in Computer Information Systems and began using his skills to help others. He served as Co-Director of the AmeriCorps program with the Michigan Community Service Commission and worked with the Heartland Alliance as an Asset Development Coordinator and Enrollment Specialist to assist Chicago Housing Authority participants with the Family Self-Sufficiency Program.
After moving back to Chicago, Kevin learned about MSV through our East Garfield Park center and decided to apply for the job of Data Quality Analyst. “I understood MSV’s core values and history of serving the community, so working here seemed like a great fit with my own values and goals.” The mission of Marillac St. Vincent also resonated with Kevin, especially the part about how MSV “empowers and gives voice to those in need."
We are extremely excited to have Kevin on the Marillac St. Vincent team. His work capturing and measuring data at MSV has allowed us to better understand the capacity of our organization. As his work progresses, we hope to use this data to regularly evaluate and improve the quality of service to our clients. Day-to-day, Kevin creates and analyzes outcome reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators. Kevin isn’t all work though, in his free time, you’ll probably find him biking, flying kites, playing basketball, or spending time with his high school sweetheart and their two children. We are lucky to have you, Kevin!
