Marillac St. Vincent Family Services has named Dee Atkins as Chief Development Officer effective September 2018. Atkins, who most recently served as Vice President of Institutional Advancement at LINK Unlimited Scholars, has more than 15 years of experience as a nonprofit administrator in fundraising, corporate social responsibility, volunteer management, and community outreach. In her role at MSV, she will lead efforts to expand donor relationships and set fundraising strategies and priorities.
“Dee brings with her a wealth of experience in philanthropy and communications and we are thrilled to have her lead the charge with our growing Development team here at MSV,” commented President and CEO, Peter Beale DelVecchio.
Prior to LINK, Dee served as Chief Communications and Development Officer for Trilogy Behavioral Healthcare, one of Chicago’s leading mental health organizations. She was also Director of Corporate & Volunteer Relations at Mercy Home for Boys and Girls where she led a team responsible for raising millions of dollars in philanthropic resources for the agency’s therapeutic programs.

Dee is a Certified Volunteer Administrator (CVA) and a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). She is a first-generation college graduate with a Master of Science Journalism from Roosevelt University, and a Bachelor of Science in English from East-West University. Dee lives in the Beverly area with her husband Joseph, who is a Chicago firefighter/EMT and their son, Noah.
