New Interim CEO at MSV

Announcing Interim CEO and Search for New Executive Leadership

Marillac St. Vincent Family Services (MSV), a Chicago social services organization working to end the cycle of poverty and violence in the City for over 100 years, is beginning a search for new executive leadership.

Incoming Board of Trustees Chairman, Michael Condron, has assumed the Chief Executive role for an interim period following the September 15th, 2017 resignation of Anthony Chimera, who served as President and CEO of MSV since October of 2016.

“On behalf of the Board of Trustees, we are extremely grateful to Anthony Chimera for his service and contributions to the staff and clients of Marillac St. Vincent Family Services and we wish him well in his future endeavors,” Condron said. “MSV has a very strong senior leadership team in place that continues to faithfully steer this mission, and the organization is having a bigger impact on communities in need than it ever has in its hundred-year history as an institution in Chicago. Our Board of Trustees remains committed to the long-term sustainability of our mission to strengthen, empower, and give voice to those in need.”

Condron has partnered with MSV for over 17 years. He was instrumental in the formation of the current MSV Board of Trustees and previously served as President of the Advisory and Development Board. As a Trustee, Condron is a member of the Executive Committee and previously served as Co-Chair of the Development Committee. Mike is taking a sabbatical from his work as a strategic healthcare advisor and managing partner at Newport Board Group and will be working full-time with MSV until the CEO role is filled.

The MSV Development Department also welcomed Trustee and current Development Committee Co-Chair, Rob Christopher, who will serve as interim Director of Development. “Rob has been active on the Board for 7 years and he is a tremendous addition to our experienced and talented senior leadership team and we welcome his contributions,” said Condron.

The Board of Trustees will be appointing an executive search committee in the immediate future. MSV will be releasing a job description and position summary for both the CEO and Director of Development here, on
