The 2017 Ball honored Larry & Sheila Marshall and Dan Hermann & Ziegler. The black tie formal event is Marillac St. Vincent’s largest fundraising event, raising over $600,000 for our thousands of the children, families, and our neighbors in Chicago who need it most. Over 500 people attended this year’s event which included two live bands, awards ceremony, a live and silent auction followed by a paddle raiser.
This year’s event was especially meaningful since the Brown family, who have participated in programs at our west side center, Marillac House, for their whole lives, joined the event. Jamica, single mother to Janae, Martel and Strawberry, brought the whole family and they had a blast kicking off the awards presentation and dancing the night away! The event was a heart warming opportunity to introduce an MSV family that is a living testement to the importance of the MSV mission, to our amazing and generous supporters. The energy in the room was palpable and made for an inspiring celebration of Marillac St. Vincent. Together we are changing the directions of individuals and families’ lives here in Chicago, and it’s working!
On behalf of the staff, volunteers and clients, thank you to everyone who supported the Fleur de Lis Ball and Marillac St. Vincent Family Services.
