East Garfield Park Youth Awards

East Garfield Park (EGP) is full of great kids! Once again, we formally and publically recognized the hard work, achievements and strength of character of some of the fine young members of our community.

On Wednesday, May 6th at 6:30PM, along with the Breakthrough Youth Network, Priscy's Production Outreach Program and Chicago West Community Music Center we acknowledged and celebrated youth achievement while encouraging continued growth, fostering pride among local residents and promoting collaboration among community organizations at the 2nd Annual East Garfield Park Community Youth Awards.

Awards were given in several categories including:

  • Academics (school based academic performance)
  • Performing Arts (music, drama, dance, spoken word, etc)
