Violence Round Table

Latoya Winters and Deshon Mcknight, Hope Junior program alums, participated in a round table discussion at DePaul University.Myles Harvey, people who worked on the book, Congressman Quigley and some of his staff also participated.

LaToya said that it was really great. Her and Deshon were able to speak quite a bit about their stories. She was very impressed with Quigley, remarking that hewas so open-minded and nice that he changed her view of politicians. He assured her that he is fighting strongly for gun laws and other non-violence&>programs, but he does not have the support he needs in Springfield. They hope this is a kick off to do more things in the community.

Thank you to Latoya and Deshon, Congressman Quigley, his staff, DePaul University, and other participants and attendees for allowing us to be part of such an important conversation.
