Don is survived by his wife of 29 years, Delores, with whom he had five children, Andre, Jamel, Jamal, Donnique, and Donielle. St. Vincent's holds a special place for the family, since Don and Delores met while working together here in the early 1980s. They even held their wedding reception at St. Vincent's. He enjoyed playing tennis in his spare time, as well as listening to jazz music, long walks along the lakefront, and spending time with his family.
During his time at St. Vincent's, Don touched the lives of our staff, children, parents, and families. His presence will be missed, but not forgotten. Don always had a kind word to share and a smile on his face. He was a pleasure to be around and served as a role model to children and adults alike. He truly was a beacon of hope for our community.
