Breakfast with the Bunny

On March 23rd, Marillac enjoyed another successful Breakfast with the Bunny, organized by Deanna Hallagan,  Mrs. Cynthia Grant, and the Hope Junior staff. About 300 people were in attendance, including some very excited children. There were also over 20 volunteers from Old St. Pat’s Church, who made over 115 Easter baskets to distribute to each family in attendance. The volunteers also helped the children dye eggs, frost and decorate cookies, and make sand art.

The favorite part of the day were the Easter egg hunts. Babies searched high and low in our playground, while older children looked in the Calhoun park.  In addition to associated sweet treats, some lucky children found money hidden in the 800 plastic eggs.

The day also included an amazing pancake breakfast, prepared by Marillac's own dietary staff. It looked and tasted like the best restaurants around.  The children and their families also enjoyed the opportunity to have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny.

We would like to thank all the staff and volunteers who organized this event and made this day special for our families.
