Peter DeBerge

Board Member

Pete is a seasoned business executive with over 40 years of financial, administrative, strategic planning, business development, and outsourcing experience in both commercial and not-for-profit organizations. In 2014, Pete retired from Rotary International where he served as Deputy General Secretary, assisting the CEO in directing Rotary’s global operations. Before assuming this role in 2011, Pete served for more than eight years as chief financial officer for Rotary International and The Rotary Foundation.

Prior to joining Rotary in 2003, Pete held a variety of financial and management positions in industry, spending over 20 years in the global packaging industry with American National Can and its predecessor and successor companies. He began his career in public accounting with Touché Ross & Company in Chicago.

Pete earned a degree in accounting from Loras College and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a certified public accountant and a member of Financial Executives International, The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Illinois CPA Society.

Pete and his wife, Barbara, have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
